It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it, hey Shawn?!

So yesterday while we were working away like the excellent employees we are - Shawn was busy getting pictures taken with world champion ironwomen on the beach at the Gold Coast!! We think he’s doing a pretty good job impressing the Million Dollar Memo judges so far - he won the beach challenge this morning too!

Here are some pics he sent us - along with one that we took as we saw the Million Dollar Memo convoy of choppers fly past the office.

Dinner last night with the Virgin Australia crew was held at the incredible Q1 tower - what an incredible experience - dinner on level 77!!

This morning we finished up our stay on the Gold Coast with some beach challenges with world champion ironman Shannon Eckstein and iron woman Courtney Hancock. My triathlon experience must have given me a bit of an advantage over my opponents as my team won both of the challenges… I’ll find out later what we won.

We had a grand entrance to the Hyatt Coolum arriving in a helicopter from the Gold Coast. It was so good to be able to fly over Brisbane, over my home and workplace on my way to the next Queensland experience. There weren’t many people in the office today - some of our team are out doing the Oxfam 100km challenge, others are down the coast at an architecture conference - but the guys that were in the office tell me that they saw our convoy of 7 choppers flying overhead - pretty cool!

Looking forward to a treat at Eliza’s Restaurant at the Hyatt tonight - I hear very good things!

Incentive Challenge: Day 2

Last night we had a surprise dinner and show with the Million Dollar Memo sponsors, a band and some burlesque style performances. Most people behaved, however some might have found it a little tough this morning riding on the back of Harley’s alongside a convoy of classic cars to the Paradise Farm Aussie Farm Tour.

Whilst at the farm we had a photo opportunity with the infamous kangaroos and koalas, some line dancing lessons (don’t worry I will teach you all my new moves when I get back) and had a demonstration on how to make bush tucker. It was an interesting way to get a glimpse in to Queensland country life. I’m really looking forward to dinner tonight as we’re getting wined and dined by Virgin Australia. I don’t want to stay up too late tonight though, I’m hoping to squeeze in a quick surf in the morning before the fun and games begin again.

Incentive Challenge: Day 1

What a busy day - finally had a chance to meet the other finalists and the 20+ media contingency following the competition over dinner last night. Don’t worry I managed to behave myself in order for an early start, but I can tell you it was a struggle getting out of bed on the first day of my “holiday”!!  First up, a run along the beach at Surfers Paradise followed by a hearty breakfast at my new home – the Palazzo Versace.  The trip to Sea World was fantastic. We mingled with the penguins, hung out with the dolphins and checked out the seal show and had a nice private lunch.  After a few interviews with some lifestyle magazines it was time to work on our postcards. Chilling in the room chatting with the office we have devised a concept. So far everyone has been great and I’m looking forward to the next surprise.
